T-Systems South Africa invites qualifying small businesses to submit their bids to join the T-Systems Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Program. The closing date for submissions is 12 noon on the 31st of August 2020.
The T-Systems ESD Program is aimed at developing Exempt Micro Enterprise (EME) and Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE) Suppliers to support Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) transformation in South Africa, giving preference to Black-owned and more specifically Black Woman-owned companies. The 2020 ESD strategy pays special attention to qualifying small businesses that have suffered financially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The global pandemic has devastated businesses across all industries and sectors, but the small business sector has been hardest hit. Our 2020 ESD program focuses on subsidizing rent payments, supplier’s resource salaries, training, work-from-home tools, and more, with the aim of aiding in economic recovery and decreasing unemployment,” says Sibongiseni Tekwane: Head of Transformation at T-Systems South Africa.
The T-Systems ESD Program contributes to the transformation of South Africa through the development of black-owned companies, by investing in strategic partnerships. The goal is to develop mutual benefits and ensure quantifiable and measurable operational and financial impact to the beneficiaries of the program. This impact may be in terms of product or service offering, business processes, and performance.
“By becoming part of our ESD Program, small businesses have the opportunity to become potential suppliers of T-Systems, a global organisation. We also help our partners to grow by facilitating better business structures and management systems, among other benefits. This offers potential for market growth. In a time of great economic uncertainty, our ESD Program can help businesses affected by the pandemic to survive and to become more sustainable,” Tekwane concludes.
The Invitation for Applications document can be accessed from the T-Systems website.
