It’s been almost two years since Sylvan Esso shared “Ferris Wheel,” but the electro-pop jam still has plenty of life left in it, as evidenced by the duo’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night. In addition to their latest late-night appearance, Sylvan Esso have announced a leg of tour dates for Spring 2022.
Sylvan Esso don’t need much to light up a stage, thanks to singer Amelia Meath’s singular dance moves and keyboardist Nick Sanborn’s infectious enthusiasm. Backed by little more than colored flood lights, their Kimmel performance is just one example of their consistently great live energy.
The duo’s tour begins in Birmingham, Alabama on May 11th, taking them through the East Coast before they wrap up at Electric Forest Festival in Michigan this June. The 14-date trek includes three hometown shows at Durham Athletic Park in North Carolina, as well as a headlining appearance at Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival in Massachusetts. Tickets for Sylvan Esso’s non-festival tour dates go on sale this Friday, February 11th at 10:00 a.m. local time, and you can get yours at Ticketmaster.

The group’s last album, Free Love, earned Sylvan Esso 2022 Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album. They followed up that release with a surprise EP, With Love, back in December 2020, where they reworked six tracks from the album with a 10-piece band.
