Need some travel inspiration as you plan your summer trips? According to Google Flights, many Americans want to hop across the pond to Europe this summer.

The flight search engine analyzed search data between Dec. 22 and March 22 to find out which destinations were most popular for travel during June and August. Topping the list this year is London, followed by Cancun, Paris, Orlando and Rome.

Last summer, Orlando, Cancun, Las Vegas, London and New York scored the top-five spots, proving that Americans are ready to resume international travel.

Other international cities that made this year’s list but not 2022’s include Tokyo (now that Japan has reopened its borders), Barcelona and Dublin.

Additionally, searches for passports “recently hit an all-time high in the U.S.,” according to the search engine. However, passport wait times are still up – it will take 10-13 weeks for routine service and seven to nine weeks for expedited service.

Another popular travel trend that Google noticed is “solo travel for women” and “solo cruises,” both of which more than doubled in the last year in the U.S. Solo travelers are searching destinations like Japan, New Orleans, Iceland, Mexico City and Italy the most.
