Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been delayed until next year, according to Bloomberg. The action-adventure game was scheduled to come out sometime this year and received a trailer in December.
In a recent tweet from WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar, Kill the Justice League was left off of the list of titles debuting in 2022. He did however name another game from the DC Comics world, Gotham Knights, which was originally slated to release in 2021.
Kill the Justice League is being developed by Rocksteady, the studio responsible for the Batman-starring Arkham franchise. The last game from the studio, Arkham Knight, was released in 2015.
As this upcoming game, Bloomberg attributed the delay “the pandemic and other development challenges.” The hold-up isn’t entirely surprising, considering that most major studios have had to adjust release schedules over the past two years.
Warner Bros. has yet to announce a new release date for Kill the Justice League.
In other gaming news, Sony has plans to release 10 live service games by 2026.
