Behind the scenes is an all-star lineup, both in the studio and in Nicks’ dreams.
Foo Fighter Dave Grohl plays drums on “Show Them The Way,” Dave Stewart is on guitar, Greg Kurstin produced, and Cameron Crowe directed the music video. “This song really is a prayer,” she explains. “This song is a prayer for people to unite. A prayer for people to get together.”
Speaking to the AP, Nicks said the song came to her in a dream back in 2008, during which the Hall of Famer was hanging with the likes of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., John Lennon, John Lewis, John F. Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy.
The single arrives ahead of her concert film Stevie Nicks 24 Karat Gold The Concert, set to screen Oct. 21 and 25 at select theaters, drive-ins and exhibition spaces. The companion album of the concert will arrive Oct. 30.
