Stellantis Offers First Look at Ram 1500 EV Concept Truck

Automaker Stellantis, the parent company of Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, and more, recently unveiled its Ram 1500 Revolution BEV concept. The EV concept is the latest part of the company’s Dare Forward 2030 initiative to reduce its carbon footprint. By the end of the decade, Stellantis plans to have 100 percent of its European sales and half of its United States sales to be of fully-electric vehicles.

Set to be available in the year 2024 alongside a Jeep EV, the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV concept shared at CES 2023 is described as “brutiful,” or “brutal yet beautiful.” The car features “grand saloon style” doors, aerodynamic 3D-printed side view mirrors, and a digital “RAM” grille. Raised by a self-leveling suspension and 24-inch rims with light-up center caps, the truck has a powered tailgate assisted by flush-mounted door handles, and power side and rear steps.

The flat cabin floor works in unison with the floor track system for a “one space environment” feature for larger hauls. On the tech side, the center console features two 14-inch screens that can be moved around, augmented reality heads-up displays, an exterior projector, a smart backup camera, and voice assistant-compatible speakers. The capacitive control steering wheel is collapsible when the Level 3+ advanced driver-assistance system is in use. Along with an AI assistant that can automatically control the vehicle.

Powering the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV concept is a dual-motor AWD, 15 degrees articulation four-wheel steering, and 800V architecture, offering 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes of fast charging.

In case you missed it, Sony Honda Mobility unveils its Afeela Prototype EV.
