Paramount+ has shared the first teaser trailer for season three of Star Trek: Lower Decks, along with key art for the upcoming installment.
The new season, which offers a myriad of new challenges for the USS Cerritos ensigns, beginning with sorting out the happenings of season two’s cliffhanger finale, will be available to stream on the platform later this year.

The crew occupying the “lower decks” of the starship includes Ensign Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Ensign Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid), Ensign Tendi (Noël Wells) and Ensign Rutherford (Eugene Cordero). Meanwhile, the USS Cerritos’s bridge crew features Captain Carol Freeman (Dawnn Lewis), Commander Jack Ransom (Jerry O’Connell) and Doctor T’Ana (Gillian Vigman).
The series, created by Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty), is produced by CBS’ Eye Animation Productions, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment, with executive production from Secret Hideout’s Alex Kurtzman, Roddenberry Entertainment’s Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth, Katie Krentz (219 Productions), Heather Kadin and McMahan.
