Spotify Is Raising the Prices of Its Subscriptions

Spotify has revealed it will be raising the prices of its subscriptions. The streaming service will be hiking the cost of its ad-free premium, family and duo plans.

“The market landscape has continued to evolve since we launched,” the company said in its announcement. “So that we can keep innovating, we are changing our premium prices across a number of markets around the world. These updates will help us continue to deliver value to fans and artists on our platform.”

The premium plan, which Spotify says has over 200,000,000 subscribers globally, will be $9.99 USD per month to $10.99 USD. The family plan, meanwhile, is also increasing by $1 USD from $15.99 USD to $16.99 USD.

The premium duo plan for two members of the couple is going up by $2 USD, being raised from $12.99 USD to $14.99 USD.

Beyond the United States, Spotify confirmed the prices would be hiked across the majority of Europe, the UK, Asia and parts of South America and Central America.
