Spooky ‘Pokémon Scarlet’ and ‘Violet’ Trailer Goes First-Person

Halloween approaches, making it the perfect time for the Pokémon Company to release a spooky new trailer. With less than a month until the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, anticipation for the games continues to peak as more parts of them are revealed.

Following up on recent news, including the reveal of Bellibolt, the EleFrog Pokémon, we’re now offered a first-person point of view trailer that sees a trainer exploring the Paldea region at night in search of Ghost-type Pokémon. Familiar frightening faces make an appearance with yet another cute dog Pokémon springing out of the ground in excitement. Named Greavard, this small Pokémon plays fetch with the trainer who slowly passes out in the night. In Greavard’s description, it is noted that it will “slowly and inadvertently absorb the life-force of those around it.” While it joins the previously revealed Fidough as an another adorable puppy Pokémon, who knows what sort of monster it may evolve into.

Be sure to watch the trailer above as Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet’s release date of November 18 on the Nintendo Switch continues to near. For those looking to reserve a copy, both games are available for pre-order now via Nintendo and retailers worldwide at a price of $60 USD.

In other gaming news, Apex Legends’ newest legend, Catalyst, has been shown off in a trailer for Season 15 of the game.
