With over two decades in the game, UK-born Michael Bibi has been DJ’ing and producing since he was a kid. He’d accompany his father, a touring blues and jazz artist, from a young age, taking in a range of musical influences. Headlining the Yuma tent at Coachella 2022 and Framework’s Art of the Wild after party were notable highlights of what has been his first major US tour. This summer he’ll also be taking over the iconic DC10 for his Solid Groove Motel season-long residency. Bibi’s seemingly unstoppable rise started in 2018 with the release of Hanging Tree and he hasn’t looked back since. When asked to describe his genre/subgenre within electronic music, he simply calls it “groovy.” We couldn’t agree more.
