Spend a Day in Long Beach with Vince Staples in ‘The Vince Staples Show’

Spend a Day in Long Beach with Vince Staples in 'The Vince Staples Show'

Vince Staples is stepping into his acting era, dropping off the first official trailer for his upcoming new Netflix comedy series dubbed The Vince Staples Show. Premiering next month, the limited series sees Staples himself in the leading role – as Staples himself – accompanied by an all-star cast and production team.

The dramedy follows as Staples is “thrust into adventures while navigating life as a kind of famous, kind of rich, kind of criminal (but not really) rapper,” Netflix’s Tudum notes. “Unfortunately, anything that can go wrong usually does.” We get a glimpse of this in the trailer as the rapper reflects on his day, which involved spending time at the amusement park, a family barbecue and executing a bank robbery – as well as a run-in with Rick Ross.

“Lemon pepper?” Ross asks Staples.

Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, Ian Edelman, Maurice Williams, Corey Smyth and William Stefan Smith executive produced the series alongside Staples. The cast also includes Vanessa Bell Calloway and Andrea Ellsworth, with Naté Jones, Arturo Castro, Scott MacArthur, Bryan Greenberg and Myles Bullock showing out as guest stars.

The five-episode series is set to premiere on the streamer on February 15, 2024.
