Sotheby’s is officially launching its upcoming “The GOAT Collection: Watches & Treasures From Tom Brady” auction. The news comes after the auction house revealed that the ex-NFL quarterback is selling off $6 million USD worth of rare watches. The exhibition opens this later this week and will give potential buyers and fans alike the opportunity to see firsthand the pieces that have represented Brady’s long-standing career and personal legacy.

The sale will feature 20 sports artifacts that have chronicled his 28-year football journey from his time at the University of Michigan to the NFL. Some key pieces from this era of his life that are being sold at Sotheby’s include the 2021 Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey he wore when he broke the NFL career passing record. The jersey is expected to sell between $400,000 to $600,000 USD. His 2019 New England Patriots game-worn helmet during his final game with the team is estimated to sell between $40,000 and $60,000 USD and his famed NFL combine short from the 40-yard dash is expected to go upwards of $100,000 USD.

Amongst his watch collection, Brady is auctioning off 21 of his treasured vintage and modern timepieces. The watch auction is led by the ultra-rare Rolex Daytona “John Special Player” which he wore during the honorary celebration at the New England Patriots 2023 season opener. The watch is expected to reach between $600,000 to $900,000 USD. Another big watch highlight is his Audemars Piguet Ref. 26730BC.ZZ.1320BC.99 Royal Oak that he wore during his Netflix special The Roast of Tom Brady, a wrist piece that is set to be selling between $400,000 and $800,000 USD.

The live auction is on December 10. The exhibition is available for viewing at Sotheby’s New York starting on December 5 until the 10th.
