Sotheby’s Motorsport to Auction “Pikes Peak” Bentley Continental GT

Sotheby's Motorsport to Auction "Pikes Peak" Bentley Continental GT

Sotheby’s Motorsport, a newly formed entity between RM Sotheby’s and Motorsport Network has announced that it will soon be offering a Bentley Continental GT W12 Pikes Peak Limited Edition at auction, a vehicle that only saw five production examples for the North American market.

“Highly exclusive paintwork elevates this Continental GT to stratospheric heights,” shared Sotheby’s Motorsport, adding “Bentley made only five Pikes Peak Edition models for the US to celebrate the historic hillclimb event, and a carbon fiber body kit makes it clear this is different from anything else on the road.”

First unveiled in 2020, during the event’s centenary year, the Pikes Peak Continental GT stands as a testament to Bentley’s commitment to both luxury and performance — particularly celebrating the automaker’s record-breaking run up the 12.42-mile course, complete with 156 turns and a 4,720 ft climb.

Design elements found on the limited edition include a unique Radium shade by Mulliner paintwork, carbon fiber body kit accents, gloss black details and exclusive Pikes Peak decals to tie it all together. The GT sits on 22-inch Mulliner Driving spec wheels in a matching gloss black with Acid Green disc calipers sitting prominently behind the spokes.

At the interior, the rare example features a variety of Alcantara and Beluga leather furnishings, a honeycomb-stitched steering wheel and Pikes Peak decals on the headrests as well as a commemorative graphic of the trail on the passenger-side dash in a matching Radium green.

As for performance, the vehicle is powered by a beastly 12-cylinder petrol engine, the W12, which produces roughly 627 hp and 900Nm of torque, enabling the Pikes Peak GT to achieve top speeds of 207 mph and a 0-60 mph time of approximately 3.6 seconds.

Bidding for the example, with a starting price of $100,000 USD and only 1,018 miles on the odometer, begins Friday, August 25, on Sotheby’s Motorsport’s official site.
