Emerging NYC-based art platform and publisher, No More Rulers, has been invited by Sotheby’s to curate a selection of artworks as part of a fundraising benefit sale to support The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Proceeds from the sale of the pieces will go directly to assist in the museum’s mission to provide a forum for artists, scholars, and the public to creatively interact with the life and art of the late pop art icon.
For this year’s initiative, NMR has reached out to its network of artists to contribute artworks for The Warhol Benefit Sale at Sotheby’s. Participants include Meguru Yamaguchi, Louise Donegan, Colm Dillane (KidSuper), Tristan Eaton, Eric Haze, Carlos Desrosiers, Stickymonger and Brett Westfall. The artworks ranging from painting to mixed media.
Highlighted pieces include a sculptural brushstroke work from Yamaguchi, Stickymonger’s water-based spray on canvas work featuring her signature female character as well as figurative-meets-abstract pieces by Dreamhaus LA founders Mohammed and Reesé. Not to mention, NMR has premiered Kidsuper’s artwork for the very first time which encompasses a mixed-media piece on paper entitled Pursuit Of.
