Soha shared that it was her mother, Sharmila Tagore, who inculcated the habit of maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle and including regular exercises as an essential part of the daily routine from a very young age.
As for her fitness routine, the actress exercises for around an hour every day. Her routine, she revealed, is a mix of strength training, cardio and stretching exercises. Sweating it out, of course, is not all that Soha does to stay fit. She pays special attention to her diet and nutrition.
“One of my favorite pre-workout snacks is almonds, as they provide the necessary energy to fuel my workout, and they also help with muscle damage recovery after a strenuous workout. They are a rich source of protein, fibre, healthy fats, and other essential nutrients that are beneficial for overall health and well-being,” said Soha. She, in fact, carries a handful of almonds with her wherever she goes and munches on them whenever she feels hungry or needs a quick snack.
When asked if she gives in to junk food cravings or believes in controlling consumption, Soha revealed she enjoys occasional indulgence but in moderation. “While I do enjoy the occasional indulgence in junk food and have my favorite delicacies, I try to control my consumption and limit it to moderation. It’s all about finding the right balance and making healthy choices for my overall well-being,” she said.
Being a fitness enthusiast, Soha shared some tips for people who want to embark on their fitness journey. “Some tips for someone starting their fitness journey would be to start small, stay consistent, find a form of exercise that you enjoy, prioritise rest and recovery, and fuel your body with nutritious foods,” she said.
The actress, who is a mother to 5-year-old Inaaya, believes in leading by example to instill healthy eating habits in her child.
“I understand the importance of instilling healthy eating habits in my child from a young age. I believe in leading by example and ensuring that my daughter eats nutritious and wholesome foods, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. I also encourage her to snack on healthy options like almonds. By providing her with healthy options and making them readily available, I hope to foster a lifelong love for healthy eating in my daughter,” Soha told IndiaToday.in
The actress also swears by the skincare secret passed on to her by mother and veteran actress Sharmila Tagore. “The skincare secret that my mom has passed on to me is the importance of staying hydrated. Drinking plenty of water and fresh fruit juices can do wonders for your skin,” she said. The actress also eats a handful of almonds everyday as they are a great source of Vitamin E and antioxidants, which can help improve skin health and prevent damage from harmful UV rays.
To unwind and relax, Soha finds solace in good books. “There’s nothing quite like getting lost in a story and letting my mind relax. When I read, I focus solely on the words on the page and let go of any stresses or worries from the day,” she shared.
