I’ve never been much of a jewellery person. I always prefer to stick to a small number of hardworking pieces that I can throw on with any outfit on any given day. Within this selection, the gold hoop is probably the style I rely on the most, whether it’s for heading out for drinks (ahh, those were the days) or adding polish to a chunky knit when WFH. Hunting down the perfect pair, however, is an unexpectedly difficult task, as so many things come into play: size, width, price, shape, and material. In my experience, finding a sweet spot in the middle of this Venn diagram is all but impossible.
