Mount Westmore — a new rap supergroup consisting of Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40 and Too $hort — have released their debut single “Big Subwoofer,” along with a corresponding music video. The visual, directed by Jesse Wellens and Sam Macaroni, sees the West Coast rappers blast off into space and perform from an alien planet.

“Big Subwoofer” will land on the upcoming Def Jam compilation project, Snoop Dogg Presents the Alogrithm, which is slated to feature artists from the record label’s “past, present and future.”

“There’s so much talent on this record, so many styles of music, it breaks the algorithm,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement. “Right now, the algorithm is telling us you have to rap this way, you have to sound this way, but they’re not telling you how it’s supposed to feel. My algorithm is going to give you a feeling, not a sound.”

Snoop Dogg joined Def Jam Recordings in June as a senior strategic advisor, a role in which his main focus is “to help the artists and give them love and wisdom and guidance and understanding, teach them some tricks that I learned in the game — to diversify their portfolios to be superstars,” according to the rapper.

Additionally, the NFL last month revealed that Snoop Dogg will perform alongside Dr. Dre, EminemMary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar for the first time during the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show on February 13, 2022.

In case you missed it, Young Thug has shared that he and Mac Miller recorded “Day Before” on the day before Miller’s death.
