Snoop Dogg Celebrates 30 Years of 'Doggystyle' With Special Anniversary Show

Snoop Dogg has officially announced a special Snoop Dogg & Friends: 30th Anniversary of Doggystyle & More and produced by Dr. Dre show at the Hollywood Bowl this summer.

As per the name, the rapper is celebrating 30 years of his debut studio album this June and will be joined by special guests, while the ReCollective Orchestra will back up the performance with conductor Derrick Hodge.

Doggystyle was released in November 1993 via Death Row Records and Interscope, and was produced in its entirety by Dr. Dre. The album featured guest appearances from Nate Dogg, Warren G, The D.O.C., Tha Dogg Pound and more, and went on to debut at No. 1 with over 800,000 units sold in its first week. It is widely regarded as one of the best hip-hop albums of all time, with the record’s second single “Gin and Juice” giving Snoop a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1995.

Snoop Dogg & Friends: 30th Anniversary of Doggystyle & More and produced by Dr. Dre takes place on June 27 and June 28 at the Hollywood Bowl.

Elsewhere in music, Ed Sheeran vowed to quit music if he loses in the Marvin Gaye copyright infringement case.
