Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre Haven’t Lost Their Golden Touch on ‘Missionary’

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre Haven't Lost Their Golden Touch on 'Missionary'

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have finally dropped off their Doggystyle sequel, Missionary.

Clocking in at under 50 minutes, the 16-track album arrives 31 years after its predecessor and features an impressive array of guest appearances from BJ The Chicago Kid, Alus, Jhené Aiko, Tom Petty, Jelly Roll, K.A.A.N., Sting, Method Man, Smitty, Cocoa Sarai, 50 Cent, Eminem, Dem Jointz, Stalone and Fat Money.

Just like Doggystyle, Missionary arrives as a West Coast classic but has now been updated with modern production. Snoop’s laid-back delivery laid atop of Dre’s undeniably sharp production highlights how their brotherhood and chemistry have remained strong over the past three decades, and the welcoming of the guest features is evidence of how the duo have evolved with the times. To make it clear, Missionary isn’t an attempt at recreating Doggystyle — it’s a celebration of Snoop and Dre’s legacies.

Stream Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s Missionary on Spotify and Apple Music.
