Still led by T3 and Young RJ, Slum Village has dropped a new album entitled F.U.N.
Although members of the group changed in its early history, founding members T3 and Young RJ have been keeping the legacy of the hip-hop group alive. Now their catalog has grown even larger with the release of their new project. But what stands out is that it marks the group’s first album in almost a decade, coming behind the 2025 project, Yes!
Although the album is still a hip-hop production, it comes alive through blends of disco and jazz as well – offering up classic elements alongside contemporary sounds. What also makes the work stand out is its host of features that sees a versatile roster of names featuring Robert Glasper, Cordae, Eric Roberson, Larry June, Sango and more. Clocking in at almost 32 minutes, the project features 12 tracks.
“Slum is still here. We’re still relevant and we’re still trying to push the envelope… Sometimes people put too many rules on music, and without sounding cliche, we wanted to just have fun with [this album],” said T3. “So, in three words: Fuck U N***as.”
Take a listen to Slum Village’s new album F.U.N., which is out now on all major streaming platforms.
