Hyperpop artist Slayyyter has announced her sophomore album, STARF*CKER. Due via the label FADER, the project, like Slayyyter’s past efforts, is gearing up to be an exciting pop release that takes a fresh approach to a concept album.
Two years after her debut LP Troubled Paradise, the new album will see her delve into her pop stardom, taking on the persona of a dramatic and extravagant Los Angeles starlet.
“This album is meant to feel like a pop dream sequence about losing love and chasing fame,” Slayyyter described STARF*CKER.
The 26-year-old artist, who is originally from Kirkwood, Missouri, recently wrapped up touring with Tove Lo as the opening act of the North American “Dirt Femme Tour.” Just this past weekend, she played an hour-long set during the recent Boiler Room takeover at Brooklyn’s Avant Gardener.
Slayyyter’s sophomore album STARF*CKER is out on September 22.
In other music news, Travis Scott announced the new single “KPOP” with Bad Bunny and The Weeknd.
