For its third exhibition, UNVEIL LIMITED‘s SIDE SPACE has tapped Hong Kong artist LOUSY for its latest spatial exploration of “the space between the absolute and its alternate.” Taking over the space situated in Hong Kong’s Tai Hang neighborhood, known for its long-standing garages, shops, and dwellings, LOUSY joins in SIDE SPACE’s aspiration to “stimulate an environment of diversity and perspectives.”
The “Winkin Buddha” exhibition is centered around the artist’s signature Buddha motif expressed on mixed media to form a cohesive unique work. The spray paint and ink on wood, window, and Hong Kong industrial found object creates an engaging juxtaposition at the subversive space. The artwork builds on LOUSY’s projection of “positive vibrations to explore the balance of decay and rebirth.
Take a look at SIDE SPACE’s “Winkin Buddha” exhibition on until August 30 above.
