Yolanda Saldivar, the woman who murdered Tejano icon Selena Quintanilla, will be speaking out in Oxygen True Crime’s Selena & Yolanda: The Secrets Between Them.
The upcoming documentary series premieres February 17 and marks the first time Saldivar has given an extensive, on-camera English interview in more than 20 years. The 63-year-old, who is eligible for parole in 2025, will touch on her working relationship and friendship with the woman she murdered, along with interviews from her family and “never-before-revealed documents and recordings in an effort to show there was more to the tragedy than the public knows.”
Saldivar killed 23-year-old Selena in March 1995 after she was stripped of her titles as the president of the artist’s fan club and boutique manager due to embezzlement.
Selena & Yolanda: The Secrets Between Them premieres February 17.
