See Jeff Goldblum Play a Stylish Greek God in Netflix’s ‘KAOS’

Jeff Goldblum is offering a contemporary – and stylish – take on the Greek god Zeus. In Netflix’s KAOS, the actor reimagines Zeus as a power-hungry force desperate to retain control over the world by any means necessary.

The first trailer for the dark-comedy series is out now. The mythological family of which Zeus is a part of, it turns out, can be as dysfunctional as mortal families. After noticing a wrinkle on his forehead, Zeus, increasingly paranoid of the world ending after noticing a wrinkle on his forehead, as well as his siblings Poseidon (Cliff Curtis) and Hades’ (David Thewlis) scheme to take him down.

“A line appears, the order wanes, the family falls and kaos reigns,” a narrator says in a voiceover.

Janet McTeer portrays Hera, the wife of Zeus, while Nabhaan Rizwan plays Dionysus. Rounding out the main cast are Rakie Ayola as Persephone, Stephen Dillane as Prometheus, Aurora Perrineau as Riddy and Debi Mazar as Medusa.

Killian Scott, Misia Butler, Stanley Townsend, Billie Piper and Suzy Eddie Izzard all appear in the show in supporting roles.

Watch the trailer for KAOS above. The show debuts on Netflix on August 29.
