See BTS’ RM Explore a Train Car in New “Still Life” Music Video

See BTS’ RM Explore a Train Car in New “Still Life” Music Video

BTS may be on hiatus but RM is still making moves in the recording studio. Following in the footsteps of fellow band members J-Hope and Jin, RM delivered his new solo studio album Indigo last Friday.

In addition to collaborations with Erykah Badu, Mahalia, Paul Blanco and more, the South Korean singer linked with Anderson .Paak on a song called “Still Life.”

As he continues to promote the project, RM has shared a music video for the single, sans .Paak.

The visual opens with the singer sitting down in a train car and opening his notebook. A serene mountainscape rolls past before the frame outside the window freezes, leaving RM stuck in time.

He moves throughout the train car freely, cut with scenes of him dancing around a blank white space.

In a recent Tiny Desk Concert for NPR, RM revealed his inspiration for the song, which he made after visiting a museum and coming across a painting with the same title.

“When I see “Still Life,” like the canvas,” he said. “My life is like a canvas. I’m exhibiting my life to the whole world, everywhere.”
