The second edition under the theme “The Big Picture: Action Today; Wealthier Tomorrow” will spotlight African music and music industry specialists to share knowledge about the music industry.
Founder of Platinum Events and MOZO TV, Nana Yaw Obiri Yeboah talking about the event revealed; “It is a privilege to co-host African Music Business Dialogue in Zambia. As Zambia’s premiere and most internationally networked music content television, we are excited to welcome industry players to Zambia to experience the quality of hospitality the country represents.”
The event will host panels, workshops, a showcase, an exhibition, and networking opportunities for attendees at the Mulungushi International Conference Center in Lusaka, Zambia.
This knowledge-sharing platform was created by Bwired Ghana Limited in collaboration with Platinum Events and MOZO TV as well as TopStar TV, to bring together representatives from Sony, DefJam, Universal Music Group, Music In Africa Foundation, and other music industry specialists in the African music business space for a progressive dialogue on the future of African music.
Founder of African Music Business Dialogue, Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei known in the music business as Trigmatic commenting on the dialogues happening in Zambia revealed; “African Music Business Dialogues in Zambia is another step forward from what we did in Ghana. I think it’s here to stay and being in Zambia and people accepting it shows Africans are one people singing the same sound and must protect each other and share the sounds and culture. A lot of trade has gone on in Africa but one thing that has pushed the good image of the country I believe is the African music. So why not a platform to discuss the issues that affect the business of music and share the best practices that we have learned.”
The press conference will be broadcasted live on Zambia’s premier music-related and lifestyle TV network, MOZO TV, and Topstar Channel 108 arising across the country Zambia and in selected countries via DTH (Satellite).
