The pop music parody of Tim Burton’s film Edward Scissorhands will feature all-new immersive staging.
Scissorhands: A Musical Tribute will return to Los Angeles for a six week limited engagement run at The Bourbon Room in Hollywood beginning November 24. The pop music parody of Tim Burton’s cult classic film Edward Scissorhands chronicles the beloved story with hits like Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?,” Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow,” and more.
The cast will include Jordan Kai Burnett as Scissorhands, Emma Hunton as Peg, Dionne Gipson as The Inventor, Natalie Masini as Kim, Ryan O’Connor as Helen, Carly Casey as Joyce, and Alex Ellis as Esmeralda. Carson Higgins and John Krause will alternate the role of Jim.
Written and directed by Bradley Bredeweg, the production will feature production design by James Connelly, lighting design by Darren Langer, music direction by Gregory Nabours, choreography and movement by SaraAnne Fahey, and costume design by Benjamin Holtrop. Alyssa Swann serves as production stage manager, and Jeff Wickline and Josh Robers serve as co-producers, with Bredeweg and Kelley Parker as executive producers.
