Yesterday, TOHO revealed the promotional teaser for the upcoming anime film SAND LAND and its theme song.
SAND LAND is the long-awaited adaptation of one of Akira Toriyama’s iconic manga, aside Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump. The teaser offers a glimpse into the film’s premise, characters as well as their bonds and voice cast. Playing throughout the promotional video is the theme song, “Utopia,” which is both written and performed by up-and-coming singer imase.

The world is a desolate wasteland called SandLand, inhabited by humans and demons. Water costs a lot of money so the people of SandLand thirst constantly. An old sheriff asks Beezlebub to help find the elusive Phantom Lake. Along with Thief, they go head to head with the king’s army and discover the truth behind many mysteries.
