Samsung Takes a Trip Down Memory Lane With Its All-New Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro Phone

Samsung has just announced the release of its all-new Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro — a limited edition phone that embodies Samsung’s legacy of innovation.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro takes inspiration from the SGH-E700, a product that captured the market’s imagination with its exceptional design and performance in 2003. During this time, the SGH-E70 was released as a groundbreaking mobile phone, presented as Samsung’s first-ever mobile to feature a built-in antenna.

Additionally, Samsung has provided other future-facing mobile phones, such as the MP3 phone, SPH-M2500 in 1999. This was then followed by the watch phone SPH-WP10, the TV phone SCH-M220, and the camera phone SCH-V200.

Now, Samsung aims to engage its customers by showcasing the history of innovation, spanning from its founding to the present day — and the brand is using its classic SGH-E700 and the new Galaxy Z Flip5 as representative examples.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro implements various distinctive features of the SGH-E700, such as the combination of indigo blue and silver colors, while a UX design reinterpretation of 2000s pixel graphics and an exclusive animation on the Flex Window that portrays a cityscape is used to add touch of nostalgia.

Meanwhile, the package also includes three Flipsuit cards featuring logos from different eras of Samsung’s history. Each Flipsuit case is partnered with a collector card engraved with a unique serial number that will add to the product’s collectible value for purchasing customers.

You can take a closer look at the new Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro above and it’s available in limited quantities via the official Samsung website now.
