On her new track “Pretty Traumatized”, rising sensation Sadye turns personal challenges into an upbeat alt-pop banger. The song was inspired by the newcomer’s battle and recovery from cancer.
She discloses, “‘Pretty Traumatized’ is my origin story. This song is at the root of my escapism approach to music. It’s the first record I’ve written about everything I’ve been through medically and it helped me establish my superpower of creating these fantasies to save myself. It’s horror masked with humor. It’s the essence of me.”
The playful nature of the track is also captured in the bouncy production. “Traumatized” was produced by Mike Green and Nico Stadi.
