RZA has announced a series of shows celebrating the 30th anniversary of Wu-Tang Clan‘s seminal album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
Set to take place at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City, the celebratory shows will feature a “live orchestra experience” most likely helmed by the de facto Wu-Tang leader himself. It remains to be seen whether other members of the group will make an official appearance alongside RZA.
“With the group’s classic 1993 debut, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), RZA established their widely imitated core sound, consisting of stark, booming beats and chilling samples (heavily drawing from vintage soul records as well as kung fu movies), setting the backdrop for the crew’s gritty, violent narratives,” a press release read.
Check out the dates below. Presale tickets for the 30th anniversary show go live on September 7 while general on-sale tickets are available September 8.
