Ryan Reynolds is keeping fans on their toes, slowly releasing teasers and trailers as the official premiere date for Deadpool and Wolverine nears. Reynolds shares yet another teaser trailer and new poster for the upcoming film to his Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of what is to come between his character Deadpool and Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine.
The short teaser dives right into it and is narrated by Deadpool himself, “Look, eventually, you’re going to hang up the claws and it’s going to make a lot of people very sad. But one day, your old pal Wade’s gonna ask you to get back in the saddle again, and when he does, say yes. I’ve always wanted to ride with you, Log. Deadpool…and Wolverine!” Setting the tone for the highly anticipated summer release, the film is directed by Shawn Levy alongside co-writers Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells and Reynolds. Levy is also credited as a writer on the film.
Recently, Levy spoke to Screen Rant at CinemaCon and revealed, “As far as crafting the Deadpool and Wolverine story, I just felt privileged every day because you’re talking about two massive movie stars in their most iconic roles. It also gave me an opportunity. It’s the third Deadpool movie, but it’s not Deadpool 3. It’s a different thing that’s very much Deadpool and Wolverine. And it’s not trying to copycat anything from the first two movies. They were awesome, but this is a two-hander character adventure.” Levy teased that the film will “be gnarly” and “gonna be funny,” even confirming that early screenings of the film “were extremely, extremely promising.” Take a look at the teaser trailer below or above and the new movie poster as well.
Deadpool and Wolverine hits theaters on July 26, 2024.
