MTV‘s own Josh Horowitz and host of the Happy Sad Confused recently took to Twitter to confirm that he had spoken to Ryan Gosling about his interest in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It appears that Gosling has his eyes set on playing Ghost Rider, a character by the name of Johnny Blaze who was once played by Nicholas Cage in the 2007 film titled Ghost Rider. In a Tweet, Horowitz revealed, “Next week my full chat w/Ryan Gosling for @MTVNews. But for now, an honest to goodness EXCLUSIVE. Ryan and I chatted about the Nova rumors yesterday which he said aren’t true. BUT this morning Ryan reached out to me to say there is one superhero he wants to play…GHOST RIDER.”
This is not the first time rumors surrounding Ghost Rider have surfaced. In May 2021, Gabriel Luna was rumored to reprise the role, however it was later confirmed in October of 2021 that the spin-off series would be shelved. Currently, Gosling is slated to play Ken, opposite of Margot Robbie in the new Barbie film.
