Rosalía has dropped off her first new track of the year, “LLYLM.” The single, which Rosialía produced in collaboration with David Rodriguez, Dylan Patrice and Noah Goldstein, is short for “Lie Like You Love Me.”
The Spanish singer first teased the new song on TikTok, revealing that the track contains English lyrics. “I don’t need honesty/Baby lie like you love me,” she sings on the cut. “Cover me in a dream/I’ll be yours or fantasy.” While rare, this isn’t the first time that Rosalía has released a song in English. In 2017, she dropped a cover of Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s 1999 classic, “I See A Darkness.”
“LLYLM” follows Rosalía’s third LP, Motomami, which was released in March of last year. The album, which won Latin Grammys for Album of the Year, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Engineered Album, and Best Recording Package, was later updated with a slew of tracks, including “Despechá,” for Motomami+. In December, Rosalía released a remix of the aforementioned track with Cardi B.
Later this year, Rosalía is slated to appear at several festivals, including Coachella and the Spanish festival Primavera Sound.
