Romeo Beckham made his professional football debut this weekend for American third-tier club Fort Lauderdale CF.
The 19 year old — who is the son of former England national team captain David Beckham — recently featured in the lookbook for Saint Laurent’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection, but has since fully turned his attention to his budding football career.
Lining up on the right side of the midfield, a position his father became synonymous with throughout his illustrious career, Beckham played his part in a 2-2 draw with South Georgia Tormenta.
Alongside Beckham, Fort Lauderdale CF also boasts Harvey Neville on its roster, the son of current Inter Miami CF head coach and former England International Phil Neville.
Established in 2020, Fort Lauderdale CF currently competes in USL League One and is the reserve side of David Beckham-owned MLS side Inter Miami CF.
