St. Petersburg rapper Rod Wave is gearing up for the drop of his new album, Nostalgia. The project is set to follow 2022’s Beautiful Mind and 2021’s SoulFly, delivering another dose of Wave’s signature soul trap sound.
Amid rolling out the new LP, the rapper has dropped off the new single “Come See Me,” where he drops bars about struggling with feeling lonely and lost, in tandem with grappling with a broken heart.
“My momma told me to make it work / But Usher told me to let it burn,” he raps. “I used to see you call my phone and get butterflies / These days, my stomach turn.”
The melancholic song also received the video treatment with a visual directed by Brett Arndt. Set at home in his apartment, Wave spends an evening alone, sitting with his feelings.
