Rod Wave debuts at No. 1 on this week’s Billboard 200 with Nostalgia.
The 18-track album opens with 137,000 equivalent album units in its first week, including 135,000 in streaming equivalent album units (187.51 million on-demand streams of the songs), 1,500 in album sales and 500 in track equivalent album units. Nostalgia logs the third-largest debut streaming week for an R&B/hip-hop album in 2023 and is Wave’s third No. 1 effort, following Beautiful Mind in 2022 and SoulFly in 2021 — making him only the second artist after Taylor Swift to earn a No. 1 every year for the past three years.
Elsewhere on the chart, Olivia Rodrigo moves down to No. 1 followed by Zach Bryan at No. 3, Morgan Wallen at No. 4 and SZA at No. 5. Making up the bottom half of this week’s top 10 are Travis Scott at No. 6, Peso Pluma at No. 7, Taylor Swift at No. 8, Wallen again at No. 9 and the Barbie soundtrack at No. 10.
