RoboCop Reality Nears with First Tesla Cybertruck Police Vehicle

UP.FIT, a division of Unplugged Performance that specializes in upfitting Teslas for fleet use, has introduced the world’s first Tesla Cybertruck police vehicle — taking us one step closer to the types of police equipment only seen in Sci-Fi films.

The UP.FIT Tesla Cybertruck Next-Gen Patrol vehicle has sparked significant interest from agencies nationwide. This demand highlights the confidence law enforcement agencies have in the transformative potential of the UP.FIT Cybertruck. Combining an unrivaled stainless steel exoskeleton, sports-car grade on-road capabilities and advanced safety technologies, the vehicle sets a new standard in the industry.

Ben Schaffer, CEO of Unplugged Performance, expressed his enthusiasm about the new vehicle, stating, “The UP.FIT Cybertruck Next-Gen Patrol vehicle represents a significant engineering leap into the future and we’re excited to offer law enforcement agencies the future of policing. We’ve been thrilled with the direct feedback from police departments that have participated in our Cybertruck development.”

The UP.FIT Cybertruck integrates Tesla’s superior electric vehicle technology with Unplugged Performance’s expertise in vehicle modification, providing a turn-key solution for police departments. It includes a range of warning lights, sirens, a PA system and upgraded computer systems. Customization options are available for tactical, military or search and rescue missions, featuring prisoner partitions, weapon storage, K9 enclosures and specialized UP.FIT Forged wheel packages. The vehicle also offers Starlink internet connectivity and optional upgrades for extreme off-road usage.

At the time of writing, UP.FIT has begun taking orders for the Cybertruck Next-Gen Patrol, with deliveries expected by late 2024.
