Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman Part II’ Has Been Delayed a Year

Robert Pattinson's 'The Batman Part II' Has Been Delayed a Year

Warner Bros. is officially delaying the return of Robert Pattinson in Gotham. The highly anticipated sequel, The Batman Part II sees Pattinson reprise his role as the Caped Crusader and was slated to be one of the upcoming films released as a part of the studio’s superhero tentpole.

A reshuffling of the schedule sees Pattinson return to the big screens pushed back to 2026, a year after its initial date. Matt Reeves is slated to come back to direct the sequel. The first film followed Bruce Wayne’s earlier days as he becomes “the world’s greatest detective.” Catwoman was played by Zoë Kravitz and Colin Farrell as tPenguin. The first film made $772 million USD at the box office globally. It is uncertain who will be back for the sequel as of now.

Warner Bros.’ decision to push back the film was due to a rescheduling of film as the label is set to release a string of others down the line. Christian Bale, Jessie Buckley and Peter Sarsgaard are set to star in the upcoming The Bride, while Robert De Niro will star in Alto Knights.

The Batman Part II will now hit theaters on October 2, 2026.
