For his sophomore studio LP Right Place, Wrong Person, RM expanded his artistry far beyond his 2022 debut Indigo, using the new album to experiment with genre, production and lyrcisim, both within and beyond the K-pop space.
Among the standout cuts from the album was “Domodachi,” a collaboration between RM and the British rapper Little Simz, making for a unique fusion of the two artists’ rap styles.
“Look, I step on the placе and they yell, “Go figure” / Watch, I’ma go all out for my hitta,” Simz raps in one verse. “I already told them, I’ma gorilla / Simz and RM man, it don’t get bigger.”
A music video for “Domodachi” is out now but rather than RM himself starring, the video follows a group of young friends on an evening exploring the city, from riding their bikes down the street to hopping fences. By the end of the visual, the friends walk home at sunrise after a long night out.
San Yawn helmed creative direction for the video, while Pennacky directed it. NKYRD and Sehoon Jang round out the main creative team and Kohei Shimazu led photographer.
