Rizzoli is set to release the first ever monograph on acclaimed French graffiti artist and nightlife impresario, André Saraiva.
Over the course of his 30-year career, Saraiva has opened bars and clubs around the world, such as Le Baron club in Paris, Tokyo and London, along with spray painting his signature Mr. A character over 200,000 surfaces across the world.
The new book comes in two iterations — a pink and blue cloth-bound cover — and features 320 pages chronicling Saraiva’s backstory, including never-before-seen footage of his hand across photography, graphic design, fashion, and of course, contemporary art and nightlife.
Contributions include text by the late-Virgil Abloh and Jeffrey Deitch, along with French curator Magda Danysz and American writer Glenn O’Brien.
André Saraiva: Graffiti Life will be available to purchase for $85 USD when it releases on September 6.
In related news, HypeArt recently visited André Saraiva at his Paris-based studio.
