Rita Ora’s Cone-Bra Dress Is Giving Serious Madonna Vibes

Rita Ora’s Cone-Bra Dress Is Giving Serious Madonna Vibes

Rita Ora arrived at The Prince’s Trust Gala in New York on 27 April wearing a gown that would not have been out of place at the altar. The “Praising You” singer looked effortlessly glam in a Richard Quinn cone-bra dress, fresh from the autumn winter ’23 London Fashion Week runway, which saw a number of models walk the catwalk holding bridal bouquets.

Ora, who has very recently been a bride herself after marrying Taika Waititi last year, teamed the dress with opera gloves and a sparkling diamond necklace to really drive home the wedding look. Yet there was another aesthetic at play with Ora’s ensemble too, as comparisons were made between the 32-year-old and Madonna. The “Material Girl” singer famously wore a Jean Paul Gaultier corset in 1990 with exaggerated cone-bra cups, and there’s no denying Ora’s creation bares a striking resemblance to the risqué look. Although she isn’t the only one to wear the throwback pointed bustier. Kylie Jenner also recently adopted the cone-bra trend, posting a series of videos on TikTok of her cone-bra ‘fit.

For the evening, Ora’s hair was swept into a voluminous bun on top of her head with a couple of single, wavy strands pulled out by her ears. Her makeup, created by Charlotte Tilbury, upped the glamour even more. With pink metallic eyeshadow, lengthened lashes, and pillow talk lipstick, Ora’s flawless look was one for the archive.

During the event, Ora rubbed shoulders with the likes of supermodel Kate Moss, who wore a chic black satin gown, and Sienna Miller, who opted for a thong-exposing, see-through dress. Ora herself is well-accustomed with the naked trend having worn a completely sheer dress to head for a hair appointment and a knicker-baring ‘fit for a pre-Grammy’s party. Keep reading to see every angle of Ora’s look and the other celebrities glamorous attire.
