Riot Games and Netflix Drop First Trailer for ‘League of Legends’ Animated Series ‘Arcane’

Ahead of its November release, Riot Games and Netflix has now finally dropped the full trailer for its upcoming League of Legends animated series Arcane.

Based on the massively popular MOBA from California-based video game developer, Arcane fans into the world of Runeterra where two deeply contrasting environments collide: the extravagant city of Piltover and the dark underbelly of Zaun. Focusing on the relationship between sisters Jinx and Vi, the series explores the backstory of numerous League characters in what Riot says is a standalone series created for more than just the game’s fans.

“When we set out to produce Arcane, we knew that we had something really special with the story of Jinx and Vi,” says the show’s co-creator Christian Linke. “We wanted to explore the idea of what you would do for your family, what values you’d compromise and the conflict you’d endure. The story, combined with the hand-painted art style and nuanced character animation in partnership with Fortiche, will bring players a rich glimpse into the world of League of Legends.”

For fans of the MOBA game and franchise, Act 1 of Arcane will arrive on November 6 on Netflix, followed by Act 2 on November 13 and Act 3 on November 20.

In other entertainment news, the live-action Cowboy Bebop comic adaptation has unveiled its first issue covers.
