Rimac Unleashes the 2,107 HP Nevera R

At this year’s Monterey Car Week, Rimac unveiled the Nevera R, a new hypercar designed to push the boundaries of performance. As the latest addition to the Nevera family, the R model represents a shift from the Grand Tourer character of its predecessor to a more aggressive, track-focused hypercar.

At the heart of the Nevera R is a 2,107 hp engine — this power, combined with Rimac’s next-generation All-Wheel Torque Vectoring and advanced braking systems, allows the Nevera R to achieve breathtaking acceleration. The car can reach 186 mph in just 8.66 seconds, making it faster than the record-breaking original Nevera.

The Nevera R is not just about straight-line speed. Rimac has re-engineered the car to emphasize cornering performance, responding to customer demand for a more agile and dynamic driving experience. The vehicle features new Michelin Cup 2 tires, which, combined with increased downforce and revised suspension, enhance stability and grip. This results in sharper handling and a 3.8-second reduction in lap times around the Nardo Handling Track.

Visually, the Nevera R is as striking as it is functional. Its lower, sleeker profile, combined with a large fixed rear wing and aggressive aero package, contributes to both its aesthetic appeal and aerodynamic efficiency. The car’s interior has also been updated, offering ultra-customizable options with a focus on driver engagement.

With a top speed of 256 mph and limited production of just 40 units, the Nevera R is set to be a rare and sought-after addition to the hypercar market. At the time of writing, Rimac has not yet announced details on pricing.
