Johnny Depp appears in Rihanna’s forthcoming Prime Video special Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4, TMZ reports and Pitchfork can confirm. The actor was described by TMZ as “a featured surprise guest,” and he has not been mentioned in press releases for the program.
Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4 premieres on Prime Video on Wednesday, November 9. The program will feature performances from Anitta, Burna Boy, Don Toliver, and Maxwell, as well as appearance from Taraji P. Henson, Taylour Paige, Simu Liu, Bella Poarch, Winston Duke, and others. Last year’s special, Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3, featured Jazmine Sullivan, Nas, Normani, surprise guest Cindy Crawford, and more.
Johnny Depp has been returning to the spotlight after a jury found that he was defamed by his ex-wife Amber Heard when she called herself “a public figure representing domestic abuse” in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed. The actor collaborated with Jeff Beck on a new album, and the two are currently on tour in North America. Depp also appeared during the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.
Pitchfork has reached out to Rihanna’s representatives for comment.
