Rico Nasty has released the second single off of her forthcoming new project. Entitled LaRuinas, the album has yet to receive an official anticipated due date, but follows the recent news that Rico has scrapped her highly-anticipated Rx LP.
“I’m going through a lot of transitions rn. And it got scrapped,” the artist tweeted in April. “There’s a whole entire new thing coming.”
Following “Vaderz” with guest artist Bktherula, the humorous “Intrusive” is the latest track from Rico from LaRuinas. In punchy bars, she responds to how constantly hearing opinions, from critics on social media to one’s own thoughts, can sometimes feel a little intrusive.
The single is produced by by Ben10k, who also worked on “Vaderz,” and Dane, and arrived with a lo-fi style music video featuring Rico’s real-life glam team
“This song tells the story of intrusive thoughts with some industrial elements,” Rico said of the new release. “The song is a true free style for me and takes you for a ride through my mind.”
