Rico Nasty has leaned into her rock side with a verse on Love Ghost’s new single “Wolfsbane.”
The song converges emo and trap with rock to create a hybrid sound, making the feature quite fitting for Nasty, whose own music bends genres to pull from a variety of rap, trap, rock and punk aesthetics.
Love Ghost wanted Nasty to get in her “rock bag,” the rapper told Rolling Stone. “I love when bands want to bring me into their world and let me rock out. The production behind this song is fire. It gives two different vibes when the beat switches, bringing a hard-rock element.”
Last month, Nasty released the single “Magic” from her forthcoming mixtape, Rx, following the release of her debut studio album Nightmare Vacation. The mixtape is will arrive later this summer and is rumored to be produced by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs.
