Rico Nasty has released a new track titled “Skull Flower” from her upcoming LP, Las Ruinas.
Coming on the heels of previously released tracks Las Ruinas tracks “Intrusive,” “Vaderz” and “Black Punk,” the new track discusses her approach to life and confident demeanor. “Can’t see you, my vision is tunneled/If you step on my toes and turn to a foe, then, I promise you, gonna get humbled/I only survive, I’m the rawest of all/When I’m on stage, they throwin’ me bras/You throwin’ a tantrum, I sleep in a mansion.”
Shot in a German sunflower field on her way to perform at Splash Festival 2022, the video showcases Nasty frolicking around the field. What stands out about “Skull Flower” and the previously released tracks are its sonic and lyrical evolution as Nasty plays with her sound, which the artist describes as her “most experimental and vulnerable body of work yet.”
Slated for release on July 22, Las Ruinas is set to showcase an inner look at the genre-bending artist.
