Manchester City are looking to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur and they are ready to offload some of their big-name players.
According to reports from The Atheltic, the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez were mentioned as potential makeweights in a deal for Kane.
It gives an indication that these players are expendables in Pep Guardiola’s squad, and that the club could be ready to cash in on them.
Arsenal are showing keen interest in two Manchester City players as they look to find ways to bolster their attacking department this summer.
The Gunners, who finished eighth last season, want to show ambition in the market, and they have decided to check on the status of both Sterling and Mahrez, according to reports from EuroSport.
Sterling, the three-time Premier League champion with City, hope to stay at the Etihad Stadium and will hold talks with the club in July. The same goes for Mahrez as well.
However, it is unknown whether either of them would be interested in joining the Gunners who cannot offer them Champions League football.
Arsenal have been linked with players like Aaron Ramsdale, defender Ben White, midfielders Yves Bissouma, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Ruben Neves and James Maddison in recent weeks, while the club retain an interest in Sander Berge as well.
This summer, the Gunners are looking to sell a lot of their fringe players and high-earners to make room for quality additions. They are planning to sign four to five top players which would cost them over £100m.
