The presence of Mauricio Pochettino has convinced Georginio Wijnaldum to join Paris-Saint German ahead of Barcelona, according to reliable journalist Julien Laurens.
The Dutchman was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona ahead of next season after he opted to not stay with Liverpool.
However, it appears that PSG have now hijacked the deal by offering the player a better financial offer.
As well as the (much) better financial offer, Mauricio Pochettino has also played a big part in convincing Gini Wijnaldum to join PSG and not Barcelona. @ESPNFC 🤝✅

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman previously worked with Wijnaldum while he was managing the Dutch national team.
He was keen on a reunion with the midfielder as he looks to rebuild the Blaugrana into a giant of European and world football.
As reported by Marca, Wijnaldum was previously linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur from Newcastle United in 2016.
He held positive talks with then Spurs boss Pochettino before eventually deciding to join Liverpool.
Wijnaldum subsequently developed into one of the best players in the world, helping the club win the Champions League and Premier League.
Due to his contribution to Liverpool over the last five years, Jurgen Klopp paid Wijnaldum a heartfelt tribute before his departure.
PSG will be hoping that he can help them to reclaim the Ligue 1 title from Lille while also finally adding a Champions League title to their trophy cabinet.
They have won everything there is to win in French football since the early part of the last decade, but Europe’s premier club competition continues to elude them.
Pochettino will be expected to land the Ligue 1 title next season as a minimum requirement.
If he does not land the Champions League, his time in charge of the Paris-based club will not be regarded as a success.
